Tips to Help Keep Your Family Healthy this Summer
With the warmer days of summer finally here, it means time at the pool,
picnics, family barbecues, and other fun outdoor activities. If you want

drinking plenty of water before, during and after participating in any
type of physical activity to help avoid dehydration. If you want to add

Sunscreen is a must during the warm summer months. In addition to

head and face from the harsh and harmful UV rays.
PRACTICE HEAT SAFETY
There are certain parts of the day that are hotter than others. It is a
good idea to avoid any intense physical activities outside between the
hours of noon and 3 PM, which is when the sun is at its strongest.
DRESS FOR THE HEAT
When you are going to be outdoors, make sure to wear light colored and
lightweight clothing. Also, select breathable, light fabrics, such as
cotton and wear sunglasses to help protect your eyes.
If the heat becomes unbearable, then you should head inside. Consider
indoor activities or visit a local club or rec center to swim, play
basketball or have fun where it is cool.
